Surfpurse
Surfpurse is an ongoing project I have been working on with a close friend, since 2020.
We are just two gals who have a love and passion for the ocean, surfing, and innovation. Sore arms and achy backs from our round-trip treks were taking a toll. So we both thought, why hasn’t someone invented something that helps surfers carry their logs and paddleboards? Why couldn’t that be us?!
More recently we have been working on an updated design with more flexibility so that it can be used for thicker paddle boards and kayaks.
Jansen USA
Jansen USA is the family business that I have been managing for the past 5 years. I have been working hard to increase brand awareness and quality of service. My job at Jansen USA encompasses many tasks, one of the projects that I am most proud of right now is the new jansenusa.com.
I built this website from the ground up, working very hard to design it specifically for ease of use and with our customers in mind.

It all began because I had some customers complaining about how difficult it was to navigate our old website.

This was a huge learning curve for me. I am not a developer and I do not have much experience with user design.
I started out by watching lots of videos and haunting websites that I found easy to use, and intuitive.
From there experimented with websites like Squarespace and Wix. I quickly realized that this would not have the look and functionality that I wanted and would have to find an even more customizable way to create a website.
The next step was to learn how to make a wireframe in Adobe and move it to WordPress. Once in WordPress, I used the Elemonter plug-in to get the final results that I and my customers are happy with.

Like all websites, this one needs upkeep and constant refreshing. I have cut company costs by doing this all myself. It has even inspired me to create more of an online presents for the company. This is going to be a big way that we increase sales this year and in the future.
